Petrol Price Hike Means Car Commuters Can Save Hundreds of Euro by Switching to Burkesbus

The recent rise of petrol prices to the €1.50 per litre mark means that commuters who travel to work by car could potentially save themselves hundreds of euro on fuel by switching to Burkesbus. For example, the cost of a Burkesbus weekly ticket between Tuam and Galway is only €35, whereas this would cost approximately €50-€55 for petrol. So taking the bus would lead to a total saving of approximately €960 in the year. This cost does not include parking, tax, insurance, servicing, tyres and other repairs over the course of the year.

Weekly Tickets

You can achieve more SAVINGS by purchasing a weekly ticket if you frequently commute between any of our bus stops. For example if you were to buy daily return tickets for commuting between Tuam and Galway for the week it would cost you €45, whereas our weekly ticket is only €35.
